Why Read This? The one-sentence sell. What do you get for showing up to this book, even when it's hard?

Sometimes you have to come all the way home to figure out where you actually belong.

Synopsis

When Ros steps off a plane after four years away, she needs a job, a flat, and a phone that actually works. Thanks to a technical blip that sends a mass text to every contact she has ever had — including her ex-boyfriend, the one who broke her heart — she finds her old life flooding back in ways she did not expect. Her parents have reignited their romance, her best friends have moved on, and she is sleeping in a converted garden shed. As Ros tries to sort out what she actually wants from her life, she meets someone new who might just show her that moving forward beats going back every time.

At a Glance

Ros comes back to London after four years away, armed with a useless American number, a mass text sent to every contact she has ever owned, and absolutely zero plan. Her parents have rediscovered their spark, her friends have all moved forward, and she is sleeping in a shed. The chaos is extremely funny, the banter crackles, and the romance quietly sneaks past all the noise. Lindsey Kelk is one of the best in the business at making a mess feel like a hug.
