Why Read This? The one-sentence sell. What do you get for showing up to this book, even when it's hard?

Fixie finally finding her voice after years of being the family doormat - the grovel hits hard

Synopsis

Fixie Farr cannot help herself. Straightening a crooked object, removing a barely-there stain, helping out a friend — she just has to put things right. When a handsome stranger in a coffee shop asks her to watch his laptop for a moment, Fixie not only agrees, she ends up saving it from certain disaster. To thank her, the computer owner, Sebastian, scribbles her an IOU. As Fixie and Sebastian cash in favors for each other, they start to realize they might be able to tackle their biggest problems — if only they can admit what is truly holding them back. A story about family, self-discovery, and learning to stop fixing everyone else long enough to fix yourself.

At a Glance

Fixie Farr has spent her whole life fixing things for everyone else - her family, their shop, her no-good ex. Then a chance coffee shop moment lands her in a back-and-forth IOU with a handsome stranger, and suddenly someone is doing things for her for once. Kinsella at her most warm and chaotic: the family dynamics will make your blood boil in the best way, and Sebastian will make you want to throw the book across the room before you fall completely. Classic comfort-read energy with a protagonist arc that genuinely earns its HEA.
