Why Read This? The one-sentence sell. What do you get for showing up to this book, even when it's hard?

The near-misses are genuinely agonizing in the best way - you will yell at this book

Synopsis

Nadia gets the 7:30 train every morning. Daniel really does get the 7:30 train every morning — which is easy because he has not been able to sleep properly since his dad died. Nadia does not notice Daniel but Daniel notices Nadia. After one particularly bad day, Daniel leaves a note for Nadia in the Missed Connections section of the local paper. The question is: will Nadia read it? A not-quite-romance of near-misses, true love, and the power of the written word.

At a Glance

Every morning Nadia boards the 7:30 train, and Daniel - who cannot sleep since his dad died - is always there too. He leaves her a Missed Connections note in the paper, not knowing if she will ever read it. A near-miss romance built entirely on timing and fate, told in dual POV with narrators that make you feel every almost-encounter in your chest. Laura Jane Williams writes the kind of book that makes commuting feel romantic, even when life keeps getting in the way.
