Why Read This? The one-sentence sell. What do you get for showing up to this book, even when it's hard?

Ruby Dixon at her coziest. A half-orc hero who is impossibly gentle with his sheltered bride, wrapped in humor and warmth. Perfect low-effort comfort read with plenty of steam.

At a Glance

Ruby Dixon does what she does best—takes a massive tusked half-orc and makes you fall completely in love with his devotion. Agakor buys a castle and needs a lady wife to legitimize his claim, so he gets Iolanthe, a thirty-year-old spinster who has never been touched. Wedding night tension is exquisite, and his patience as he teaches her about intimacy is genuinely sweet. A novella (190 pages) that moves fast but packs enough warmth and humor to feel complete. The spice is tender rather than filthy—this is a worship romance through and through.
