Why Read This? The one-sentence sell. What do you get for showing up to this book, even when it's hard?

A clean fantasy romance that proves you do not need spice to deliver tension and butterflies. Twomey writes the slow-burn anticipation between Bea and her secretive guard with real skill.

Synopsis

When the impulsive and impetuous Beatrice Wolfe sets her sights on escaping the palace to protect the people, she doesn’t expect the biggest obstacle to be herself. Trying to heal Eflorencia after she accidentally destroyed its only hope of survival means that Bea won’t be going back to her tree climbing life anytime soon. With the crops withering and the water drying up, the people have no other choice but to give up the last of their magic to the king, even though they know he will keep most of it for himself. With the palace on their heels and a past that puts her recognizable family in fame’s spotlight, Bea knows it is only a matter of time before they are found. They have to decide if they should cut their losses and flee Eflorencia, or if perhaps the world they once left is worth trying to save. Bea needs her protector to stay close, but when good intentions aren’t clear, and Nic’s hidden past comes back to haunt the handsome yet secretive guard’s present, Bea doesn’t know if there is a safe place left for her in all of Eflorencia. "Impulsive Princess" is book three in the Tales of Eflorencia. This coming-of-age story is for fantasy readers who devour first kiss butterflies only when accompanied by scandalous secrets. Enjoy the entire series, written by USA Today bestselling paranormal romance author Mary E. Twomey.

At a Glance

Book 3 of the Tales of Eflorencia trilogy wraps up Beatrice Wolfe's story—the impulsive princess who leaps first and plans never. Romance with her secretive guard Nic is pure tension and butterflies with zero spice. The ADHD representation feels authentic and valued by the characters around Bea. Clean enough for younger readers but emotionally satisfying for anyone who loves a coming-of-age fantasy with heart. Read Dead Princess and Foolish Princess first.
