Why Read This? The one-sentence sell. What do you get for showing up to this book, even when it's hard?

The most cathartic enemies-to-lovers payoff in fantasy romance—three books of political scheming, identity reveals, and brutal tension finally resolve into deeply earned intimacy and twin victories.

Synopsis

Damianos of Akielos has returned. His identity now revealed, Damen must face his master Prince Laurent as Damianos of Akielos, the man Laurent has sworn to kill. On the brink of a momentous battle, the future of both their countries hangs in the balance. In the south, Kastor's forces are massing. In the north, the Regent's armies are mobilising for war. Damen's only hope of reclaiming his throne is to fight together with Laurent against their usurpers. Forced into an uneasy alliance the two princes journey deep into Akielos, where they face their most dangerous opposition yet. But even if the fragile trust they have built survives the revelation of Damen's identity – can it stand against the Regents final, deadly play for the throne?

At a Glance

The explosive finale of the Captive Prince trilogy. Damen's identity is revealed and he must fight alongside Laurent—the prince who swore to kill him—against both their usurpers. M/M enemies-to-lovers slow burn that earns every inch of its payoff across three books of political intrigue, betrayal, and brutal tension. Heavy CWs (slavery, SA references, child abuse references) inherited from the series. Third person, not standalone. Series complete.
