Why Read This? The one-sentence sell. What do you get for showing up to this book, even when it's hard?

A dark academia fantasy with a sarcastic assassin witch going undercover at an academy full of predatory supernatural beings. The banter with the brooding dragon-shifter professor crackles, and the mystery of who is really hunting whom keeps you turning pages.

At a Glance

Think if Voldemort had a 23-year-old daughter and sent her to spy school. Esme is snarky, morally gray, and completely out of her depth at an academy crawling with dragons, vampires, dark fae, and incubi. The slow burn with Professor Dayn is pure tension with zero spice, so if you need on-page heat, look elsewhere. But the banter and mystery are chef kiss. Fair warning - it ends on a cliffhanger.
