Mara is mostly content with her work as the government’s silent assassin. Content, mostly because she is quietly avenging her past on the side. Her arrest launches her onto a path that changes everything. When she is forced to work with a member of the guard to investigate rumors of a dangerous cult in the forest, everything changes.
