Why Read This? The one-sentence sell. What do you get for showing up to this book, even when it's hard?

An 865-page epic romantasy that earns every page - a cinnamon roll baker and morally gray sovereign build a found family while navigating politics, prejudice, and a slow burn that finally pays off with the healthiest spice scenes you will read this year.

Synopsis

She won her throne. Now she, and her Five, must fight to keep it. Newly crowned as Sovereign, Lora sets off on a tour across the continents with her Five at her side. She's determined to win the hearts of her people and fix the wrongs of the Sovereigns who came before her. But some would rather see Lora dead than see her reign. In order to protect her, Ayc must embrace his long-hidden power. As he struggles to wield his shadow affinity, he follows clues in search of a rebel group that may be his best chance of saving his homeland. As alliances are forged, enemies are uncovered, a dragon egg hatches, and a terrible plot unfurls, Lora and Ayc battle against their feelings for one another, feelings powerful enough to endanger everything they're fighting for. They must make an impossible choice. Do they follow their duty? Or do they risk everything for what their hearts truly want? CHOCOLATE PUDDING AND WICKED QUEENS is the second book in a genderbent enemies to lovers romantasy series about a Sovereign fighting to keep her throne, the shadow wielder determined to protect her, and the courage to become the villains their world needs.
