Why Read This? The one-sentence sell. What do you get for showing up to this book, even when it's hard?

A gripping dragon romantasy where a fated dragon-rider bond threatens an arranged royal marriage, forcing impossible choices between duty, survival, and a love that could get them both killed.

Synopsis

She has been betrothed to the heir to the Twelve Kingdoms since birth, but there are rumors of his cruelty. She knows she'll be nothing more than a possession to him and tried to run, but the King's envoy arrives to take her. However, something awakens in one of the guards—he is her Dragon, and she's his ryder. It's the kind of freedom she's dreamed of, but the future King will never allow his bride to fly in his army and won't share her—it's a death sentence if he finds out. She can't leave her sister to a worse fate, there are enemies on every side and a plot to bring down the King, and they have to figure out which side they're on and how to survive. The Thief of the Light is Book Four in the Flyers of the First Kingdom Series.
